Spotify Shuffler is a free service to change the order of tracks in your Spotify playlists.

Spotify's built in shuffle function is far more complex than a random track selector, they attempt to innovate and add value to the feature by using a combination of advanced techniques. Unfortunately some people find their playlists seem to favour certain tracks or miss tracks out. If you are one of those people you might find our service works better for you.

How can I use it?

1. Login to your Spotify account via our site.

2. Select a playlist and randomise it.

3. Listen to the playlist in Spotify with shuffle turned off.

4. Return to the site and repeat the process when you would like your tracks in a new order.

How does it work?

The shuffler works by creating a new playlist with the same name as the original and copying all of the tracks to the new playlist. Once the process is complete the original playlist is removed. We've selected this method as it allows original playlists to be recovered and is much faster than other methods.

Unfortunately, the downside to this approach is the new playlist loses some of the information associated with the original, like contributors, description and picture. We are hoping to update the service to retain some of this information in the future.

How can I close my account?

The shuffler only ever has temporary access to the Spotify account. Each time you return to the site access is requested again. If you'd like to remove the access you can do so via the following link: https://www.spotify.com/uk/account/apps/

Something went wrong and I've lost a playlist, what can I do?

If you have a problem with a playlist you will always be able to recover it from the following page: https://www.spotify.com/uk/account/recover-playlists/

We plan to introduce new features, like shuffle scheduling, to make this service more user friendly. If you are interesting in joining our beta team please contact us
